San Diego Eighth-Grader Becomes First to Receive 'Master Ocean Angler' Award

Recreational Dungeness Crab Season Opened Nov. 3
Is there anything more quintessentially Californian than Dungeness crab for the holidays? California's recreational crabbers once again have the opportunity to be the heroes of their holiday parties and family get-togethers by sharing their freshly caught Dungeness crab. Anglers are limited to 10 crabs a day and minimum size requirements apply.
PLEASE NOTE: At the recommendation of state health agencies, CDFW enacted a delay to the opening of the recreational Dungeness crab fishery from Patrick's Point, Humboldt County north to the California/Oregon state line due to unhealthy levels of domoic acid. More Info
