Saturday, July 1, 2017 – CIFFI/PROJECT EAGLE LAKE TROUT - The Annual Traditional Independence Day Celebration held at the Eagle Lake RV Park & Store in Spalding was a resounding success once again. The 450-plus participants enjoyed a day full of family fun, food, horseshoes, raffles and games. Participation by the crowd performing the Star Spangled Banner on kazoos started the festivities and the fun and games were enjoyed by all, especially the kids casting contest and the free kids raffle. The weather was perfect and funds raised will continue to support PELT’s goals of making the fishing experience a good one at Eagle Lake. A message from Stafford Lehr, CDFW Deputy Director of Fish & Wildlife, and supported by Mike Harris, CDFW Region One, announced the matched-funding Federal grant of $50,000 obtained for processing past data and developing future projections for enhancement of Pine Creek. A special Thank You award was presented to Richard Burton, Senior Regional Service Manager of Honda Marine, for their on-going support and sponsorship.
The 9th Annual CIFFI/PELT Family Fun Fall Festival will be held at Eagle Lake on Saturday, September 2, 2017 - make plans now to attend. Mike and Kate Arnold, owners of the RV Park & Store, and crew provide the best in BBQ! It’s another great fundraiser…& you need to keep an eye out for the GNOME!!
